If you are reading this you have probably seen that we have launched a Kickstarter campaign in a bid to get the Swannack brand out into the world of cricket.

Not sure what a Kickstarter campaign is and what is means for you? Check out our FAQ’s below. And if you still have questions after that feel free to contact us at any time, we love to hear from you!

What is a Kickstarter Campaign?

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform that is commonly used by startups/entrepreneurs/charities etc to help raise funding for their business ideas.

The difference is that you wouldn’t be investing in the company, you pick from one of the ‘pledges’, which normally are the products that the company have developed and are now launching.

Companies must pledge an amount to raise and can have the campaign running for approximately 30-90 days. For a campaign to be successful the full amount pledged must be raised. If this doesn’t happen then all funding is returned to customers.

What are Pledges?

Pledges are te options that customers can choose from that enable them to financially support the project.

What will Swannack be pledging?

We have pledged to raise £12,000.

Our campaign will have our entire bat range as our pledge options. These English made bats will be made to order for each customer at a hugely discounted rate. Something that we won’t be offering again.

How long is the campaign running for?

We are running the campaign from 22nd January until 21st February. If we don’t reach £12,000 by this time then the campaign will not be funded. If we make over that amount – HAPPY DAYS!

Ok, I think I would like to pledge. How can I specify my order to you?

Once you have completed your pledge through our Kickstarter page you can continue to follow your bat’s progress through the messaging system. You will receive an email after the campaign completes on 21st February with a form enabling you to specify which bat design you want, the height, weight and if you’ve chosen then engraving options you can specify what you would like for that.

How long will be it before I receive my bat?

We endeavour to have the bats shipping out by the end of April 2018 ready for the beginning of your new season. We will keep you updated throughout the manufacturing process so you will know that we haven’t forgotten about you!

How can I follow progress and get in touch with you?

Is delivery included in the pledge?

Yes and no. We offer free delivery throughout the UK. European and International orders will be subject to a postage charge.

What if I don’t like the bat?

We really want you to have a bat that you think is the best thing since sliced bread! But, if you find that once you receive it you really aren’t happy with the pick up then you can return it to us for a refund. (Minus any shipping costs) Bats must be returned to us within 14 days in an unused and resaleable condition.

Is there a warranty?

Yes there is!

The English willow and cane used in bat production are natural materials that deteriorate with use – even with the best preparation. They cannot be made impervious to the effects of yorkers, mistimed edge shots, excessive tapping and general wear and tear, no matter how much we’d like them to. Any damage caused through normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. What the warranty covers is any and all manufacturing and material defects up to 12 months from the date of original purchase. There’s a more detailed list of what is and isn’t covered, HERE
